DESSERT WINES DEMYSTIFIED

deVine Wines at 29 N. Cass Avenue, Westmont

Denise and Jim Walsh, owners of deVine Wines will host a dessert wine tasting which will pair selections from deVine Wines with yummy treats from La Petite Sweet in Westmont.  The Walshes will share their enthusiasm and expertise to unlock the mystery of choosing and serving the proper dessert wines.

PANEL DISCUSSION OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN ILLINOIS

Human trafficking for sexual exploitation is a growing problem worldwide, including here in Illinois. Join us for a panel discussion and hear the personal story from a survivor of sexual trafficking.

Expert panelist, Samir Goswami, Policy Director at the Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation (CAASE), will present advocacy efforts to improve Illinois' trafficking laws and to increase the social service options for survivors.  

A representative of the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office will present what the county is doing to deter demand, prosecute traffickers, and train police officers to implement the Illinois anti-trafficking law.   

After the three panelists have presented, they will answer submitted questions from the audience.

Cost: Free - Open to the public - Reservations still required.
